Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is based on the National Curriculum Framework that reminds us as to what information should be given within each of the key learning areas. Learning is made enjoyable for kindergarten by adopting the latest teaching aids like multimedia and models.

For students of class I and II, the journey into formal education begins. Subjects such as English, Hindi, Social studies, Science, Computer, Environmental studies, Sports and dance are explored. Equipped with smart boards, our classrooms are transformed into interactive spaces and learning experiences.

Examinations and Promotion Policies

  1. The school follows the system of continuous assessment. Unit Tests, Assignment tests and terminal examinations arc compulsory. for all. If a student is absent for a test or examination, he shall be awarded zero, Retest or reexamination will not be conducted except when a student is required to represent the school in outside competitions.
  2. There will be four formative assessments in a year. Summative Assessments are held before the end of every term.
  3. Computer Science, General Knowledge and drawing marks secured in quarterly, half-yearly and annual examinations are entered in progress report.
  4. Grades are awarded depending on the percentage marks secured in the tests or examinations. Promotion of a student to a higher class is made after evaluating the student’s performance in each subject in the tests and examinations. A minimum of 40% of marks in each subject and 90% attendance are required for promotion.
  5. Parents are requested to get in touch with the principal.

Co-Curricular Activities

Maximum participation in music and dance, art and literary activities like debates, elocution are the right ways to find hidden creativity. School arranges dance, karate, band classes and seminars, workshops under the valuable guidance of related expert teachers. Parents too are encouraged to actively involve in shaping the talents and monitor the progress of their wards.

  1. Education is for the all-round development of a child. The participation in co-curricular activities will enable the students to learn the value of co-operation and make them more disciplined and organized.
  2. Every student is encouraged to participate in co-curricular activities. The whole school is grouped into four houses. Opportunities are provided to students to participate in games, sports, painting, elocution, essay writing, dance, drawing, quiz etc.
  3. The school provides facilities for sports and games.
  4. School arranges field trips, picnics and excursions during the Academic year.
  5. Students play indoor games regularly.

Transport

  1. The school offers transportation services to its students. This facility is optional and can be utilized upon payment of the required fee.
  2. Students will be instructed to board the bus at designated routes and stages established by the school. The transport fee must be paid in advance.
  3. Children who misbehave on the bus will face strict disciplinary action. Persistent misbehavior will result in the student being disqualified from using the bus service.
  4. Students are expected to arrive at their respective bus stops 5 minutes before the scheduled departure time.

Excursions and Picnics

Education does not mean sitting within the four walls of the classroom and reading from a book. School picnics and field trips are an important and effective means of motivating students and engaging them in active learning experiences. Picnics are carefully planned as part of the educational program starting from kindergarten.
